The Faculty of Arts and design at MSA University was able to organize the “Illustration fundamentals to pave the way for successful graduation project” session for the Department of Graphics and Media Arts students and was given by the expert illustrator and visual artist Muhammed Mustafa.

 

 

About the Guest:

Muhammad Mustafa is a Cairo-Based illustrator. He studied fine arts in Cairo, Majoring in painting and graduating in 2007. He started his work in the advertising field as an illustrator, and throughout his work years, he joined different multinational agencies in Egypt, Bahrain & Dubai.

He decided to pursue his path as a freelance illustrator to further explore different kinds of art projects alongside his commercial work.

 

Session Overview:

An illustration is a decoration, interpretation or visual explanation of a text, concept or process, designed for integration in print and digital published media, such as posters, flyers, magazines, books, animations …etc… its a broad medium that can be used to produce Graphics and media arts students' graduation projects. Therefore, out of the Faculty of Arts and Design's belief in the necessity of engaging its students with the industry professionals, MSA students were welcomed to attend an exciting opportunity to help them understand and explore the illustration verse as the Department of Graphics and Media Arts brought Mr. Muhammad Mustafa, Award winning illustrator and visual artist to share his experience and offer profound insights into his creativity, technical knowledge and experience, by organizing an expert talk on April 6th , 2022.

 

The workshop's purpose was get to know the fundamentals of illustration as a medium to deliver a successful graduation project for Graphics and media arts students and to help them out creating a strong illustrations needed for the project. The benefit of attending the session was learning important tips and tricks needed to master the illustrations they create for their graduation projects as the guest transferred some of his experience to the students.
