The workshop provided valuable insights into pharmaceutical pricing as a crucial aspect of the pharmaceutical industry. In this session, our senior students had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the influence of drug pricing, including manufacturing costs, research and development expenses, regulatory requirements, and market competition. Moreover, the workshop discussed the impact of pricing on patient access to medications, healthcare systems, and the overall sustainability of the pharmaceutical industry.
The Community Service Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy in October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) has organized a workshop entitled “pharmaceutical pricing” which was presented by guest speaker, Dr. Moataz Elhattab, an expert in the pharmaceutical field bringing 16 years of experience in multinational companies. His current role is Pricing& HTA Lead in Roche. He held this title for the last 5 years, before that, he was working at Pfizer for 11 years responsible for Pricing & market access for Egypt & Sudan.
