MSA Staff Shine as National Contact Points for Horizon Europe Funding

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) is proud to announce that our esteemed faculty members have secured funding through Horizon Europe, one of the world's largest research and innovation funding programs in the world initiated by the European Union.

 

Our faculty members, Prof. Nour El-Gendy, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Badawy Abdelmaged and Dr. Ranya Aly Amer, have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields.

 

Prof. Nour El-Gendy, a distinguished Professor of Environmental Sciences at the Center of Excellence in MSA, is Egypt's National Contact Point (NCP) for Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Badawy Abdelmaged, from the Mechatronics Systems Engineering Department, serves as the NCP for Horizon Europe in Egypt, focusing on Digital, Industry, and Space. And finally, Dr. Ranya Aly Amer, a distinguished Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology, has earned recognition as the NCP for Horizon Europe in the crucial areas of air pollution and climate change.

 

Horizon Europe, an EU-funded program, aims to enhance research and innovation capabilities across Europe, fostering collaboration in various scientific fields. With a budget of €95.5 billion (2021-2027), it supports projects throughout the research cycle, promoting excellence, addressing societal challenges, and positioning Europe as a global research and innovation leader.

 

These accomplishments underscore our staff's ability to foster excellence and make a meaningful impact on a global scale.
