Listen and Speak

The Human Rights Unit at MSA University, led by Dr. Olfat Diab, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy and representative of the unit coordinators, along with some university students from various faculties, participated in the "Listen and Speak" forum in its third edition organized by Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism, under the auspices of His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar. This took place on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

This participation comes in light of achieving the vision of Egypt 2030, which enhances the role of youth in shaping a secure future free from wars, conflicts, combating violence, confronting hatred, and supporting human rights in equality, freedom, dignity, and justice. It aims to foster the exchange of views and ideas that address the present and anticipate the future, as well as to enhance the university's vision in supporting student participation.

The forum addressed two axes: The first axis: Identity in the era of artificial intelligence, presented by Sheikh. Yousry Azzam, Islamic preacher, and Mr. Antonios Mikhail, head of the Technology Committee in the National Council for Training and Education.

The second axis: Managing emotions and their relationship with extremist thinking, presented by Dr. Mohab Megahed, consultant psychiatrist, and Dr. Osama Raslan, supervisor of the English Language Unit at Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism.
