From keynote brilliance to student achievements, the Molecular Genetics Scientific Day with Roche was a symphony of insights, celebrating the future of personalized medicine.

 

The Biochemistry Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) proudly hosted Roche, the distinguished Swiss multinational healthcare company and the pioneer in personalised healthcare with combined strengths in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics.

 

The keynote session, led by the esteemed expert, Dr. Ahmed Megahed, Genomics and Precision Medicine Lead for Egypt and the Levant at Roche, with more than 10 years’ experience, captivated the audience with his informative, insightful, and inspiring talk titled "Evolution of Molecular Testing in the Precision Medicine Era." His session provided a glimpse into the future of molecular genetics, offering precious insights into the latest advancements in the field. Dr. Megahed skillfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, particularly emphasising the transformative impact on the industry and the era of personalised medicine.

 

The collaboration between academia and industry, exemplified by Roche's significant presence, underscored the event's importance in advancing the understanding and application of the latest molecular technologies and personalised medicine.

 

Dr. Megahed expressed sincere appreciation for the achievements and hard work showcased by MSA students in the poster and maquette exhibition under the theme "DNA Decoding: From the Human Genome Project to the Egyptian Genome Project Initiative and Genetic Disease Awareness.
