Faculty of Computer Science - Distinguished Graduation Projects Discussion - 1st Day

 

On Wednesday 1st of February 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

The Faculty of Computer Science are ready to conduct their marvelous graduation projects discussion with the presence of many distinguished panelists!

 

Our computer scientists, Class of Fall 2022, are almost finalizing their final year and we would gladly like to invite you to attend their graduation projects discussion which will be attended by one of the most professional experts in the computer science field Associate Prof. Dr. Waleed A. Youssef, Ph.D., Senior Member, IEEE.

 

Dr. Waleed is an adjunct professor at the electrical and computer engineering department, University of Victoria, Canada. In addition, Dr. Waleed is a teacher, and a researcher, involved in teaching and studying in various institutions—Strong motivation towards utilizing various areas, e.g., engineering, mathematics, probability, statistics, and computer science, in solving data-analytic related problems and real-life interdisciplinary applications. Also, he is more interested in filling the gap between academia and industry. His research area includes, statistical learning machines & pattern recognition (design and assessment), statistical data analysis and visualization. His phd from School of Engineering and Applied Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, The George Washington University (GWU), 2 masters in statistics ad CS from Colombian School, Statistics Department, The George Washington University (GWU) and Helwan University respectively.

 

Furthermore, Dr. Waleed has more than 2 U.S Patent in “Unsupervised and Nonparametric Approach for Visualizing Outliers and Invariant Detection Scoring”, “Method and system for computer aided detection for cancer” in addition to different grants and awards in the field of research.

 

Dr. Waleed will be joining the panelists and will be giving his feedback on the graduation projects of the Faculty of Computer Science online via Zoom.
