The Faculty of Pharmacy, MSA University, participated in the Second International Conference on Water Issues in the Middle East organized by the Middle East Research and Future Studies Center at Ain Shams University under the patronage of Prof. Khalid Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Ati the minister of Water Resources and Irrigation.
 

The researcher, Dr. Christine Majed, Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, presented a research paper on how to get rid of antibiotic residues in the Water banks for pharmaceutical plants using nanotechnology and Photochemical methods And the effect of the accumulation of these antibiotics in the water system on human health of changing the immune capacity of the immune system and resistance of bacterial cultures Prof. Faten Bayoumi, Professor of Microbiology at the university, spoke about the spread of viruses in irrigation water such as rotavirus, which causes intestinal influenza and droughts for children under age five, adenovirus, which causes upper respiratory and pulmonary diseases, and methods of detection of these viruses using advanced technologies based on molecular technology And how to use nigellasativa extract to reduce these viruses from reaching receptors in human cells. Dr. Ashraf Mounes, Director of the Middle East Research Center, stated in the conference's recommendations the use of both research papers of the Faculty of Pharmacy
