MSAMUN opened its 10th annual conference on the 5th of December in the general headquarters of the Arab League that witnessed the attendance of many members of the academic body, most notably Dr. Khairy Abdel Hamid, President of the University and Dr. Samia Sheikh, the academic supervisor of the model. The protagonists were keen on having some speakers in environmental affairs, believing in the importance of environmental affairs in light of the developments taking place in the world. Where Dr. Nour Shafiq Al-Jendi, Advisor to the Minister of Environment, Dr. Yasser Mustafa, Professor of Environmental Chemistry and President of the Petroleum Research Institute, delivered a speech on the challenges facing the environment and how to face them. The opening ceremony was attended by 200 expatriates and 50 organisations of university students from various colleges.
