A glimpse into life threatening rare diseases Campaign

In the President of the Republic’s initiative for early detection of genetic diseases in newborns, under the slogan “100 Million Health”, the World Health Organization MSA MWHO simulation model Under the auspices of the Community Service and Environmental Development Committee organized an awareness campaign about the rare genetic diseases entitled “A glimpse into life threatening rare diseases” presented by Mrs. Riham Badaway, the CEO & founder of ALD hope organization, Canada

 

The awareness session includes:

 

  • A brief on the Canadian nonprofit organization “ALD Hope” and its missions related to X-linked Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) & Addison’s disease.
  • The importance of ALD screening for every newborn and how to diagnose, how to deal with it and the challenges faced by ALD & Addison’s disease patients.

 

Finally, ALD Hope organization expressed its welcome for a near collaboration with MSA University at the MSAWHO activities to raise the awareness of life threatening rare diseases as ALD and Addison’s disease that can save lives.
