Faculty of pharmacy congratulate the three winners students

Faculty of Pharmacy, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), organized a workshop in collaboration with The Egyptian Pharmaceutical Vigilance Center (EPVC) - Ministry of Health and Population- attended by the university's president, faculty dean, staff members, students, alumni, and various pharmaceutical companies' representatives. Dr Hadir Rostom -Head of the center- pointed out the role of the Egyptian pharmaceutical vigilance center in detecting and reporting the adverse drug reactions to minimize medication errors.

Consequently, to put the workshop into application, Pharmacology and Toxicology Department assigned Level 3 students to prepare newsletters similar to the official ones circulated by EPVC to discuss the worldwide cases of more than 30 drugs approved by FDA during the last 15 years that show newly reported side effects. About 400 Students participated in "The Pharmacovigilance Poster Day" with posters similar to the forms presented to the EVPC to report the new harmful adverse drug reactions that arouse upon usage The Students' work won great acclaim by the Pharmacovigilance Center and three posters were selected and published on the official EVPC Facebook page. The faculty would like to congratulate the three winners students on their exquisite work, Yosef Sobhy, Abdullah Hamdy and Sara Isaac. We are proud of you.
