Environmental Control Passive Design Workshop

Three days of theoretical lectures by internal and external lecturers and professors was the main core of Environmental Control Workshop that was held on Monday, February 18, 2013, and then continued for a whole week, at E 316 at MSA Campus. The workshop was attended by 30 MSA students. Dr Sameh El Fiky on behalf of architecture department Head , Dr Omar Fawzy, welcomed the external lecturers from Alexandria University and started the opening session on first day and explained the main concept of sustainability, climate change and the role of an architect. That was followed by a series of specialized lectures by external professor explaining the tools and principles that can be used in architecture to implement sustainability concepts into the design process.

Dr Nawal El Degwi attended the workshop closure and distributed the certificates, while Dr Khairy Abdelhamid welcomed the external lecturers. Dr Omar Fawzy, Head of Architecture Department announced the first and second awards after the decision of jury committee First and second prizes were tools that can be used in their design projects. Among a lot of other prizes, students were given; certificates. CD with all lectures, Workshop Booklets, Questionnaire, Name Tags and MSA Notebooks
