MSA Students Stellar Broadway Performance
 



The talk of the city, tremendous success in "Sakiet El Sawi" last Thursday 22/4/2010,where MSA students performed the comic show '2 Bein El Qasrein" in modern times in comparison to the famous Naguib Mahfouz novel Bein El Qasrein since it was written.

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) Students and Mama Nawal El Degwi Chairman of the Board of Trustees sent a message of love and appreciation to the First Lady of Egypt, Mrs Suzan Mubarak through performing a play called "2 Bein Al Qasrein" assuring that young people are the nation's backbone and we cannot underestimate them. All revenues of the play would be donated to develop the slums.



Mama Nawal El Degwi stated that Mrs. Suzan Mubarak defined the general tendency and took the initiative to put into effect young people's role to develop and support the underprivileged.

MSA students presented, under the theme of serving the community, a wonderful play named "Yalla Ma3ana Nekabel Bokra, b 15 Million Fikra". The chore idea lies in the fact that MSA persuaded and urged its distinguished students who are considered an important axis of development and an essential partner so they soared to serve the community.

The main idea of the play "2 Bein Al Qasrein" based on going to the slums and stretching their hands through giving donations and preparing coaching and training courses to the little and small projects.
It's noteworthy that MSA presented the Broadway famous production "Phantom of the Opera" under the auspices of the First Lady of Egypt Mrs. Suzan Mubarak where all revenues were donated to build and develop 100 schools. That play was chosen to represent Egypt in the Italian International Contest called "Universo Teatro" which was held in Benevento City in Italy.

"2 Bein Al Qasrein" was performed by 70 students of MSA University as it discusses the changes that have happened to all categories of the society in both ancient and contemporary times of 2010. The play dealt with all these changes in characters and concepts from a comic prospective that calls for feeling for others and avoiding disputes in order to improve the living conditions of the deprived segments of the society. The play was watched and attended by a great number of renowned public figures, artists and media members in addition to more than 800 persons.

Dr Nawal El Degwi's overwhelming love and enthusiasm for MSA students made her to go on stage and cheered them with their song.
